Friday, December 2nd

3 pmRibbon Cutting Ceremony (Main Entrance of tent)
3-6pmChip off the Block Ice Carvings (square near gazebo)
3-9pmExhibitor tents open ($1 admission)
3-9pmFood court open (K of C Hall on North side of square) public restrooms
3-9pmAnderson Mansion/Macoupin County Historical Society Museum Christmas Open House decorated for the holidays, bake sale inside home. Also serving meals until 8 pm in the Red Barn. $3 admission for adults; $1 for children under 12. Ride the free trolley, which departs from the town square every 30 minutes
3-9pmTrolley "stop and drop" rides available for narrated tours. Thirty (30) minute round trip (departs from the Macoupin Energy LLC Shay #1 Mine tent on the southeast corner of town square every 30 minutes)
4-8pmVisit Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at his house (Santa house on square and Mrs. Claus strolling)
4:30-8pmHomemade soup and chili supper (United Methodist Church)
5-8pmHorse -and -carriage rides (Free; pick up and drop off at the Macoupin County Tent on northeast corner of town square)

9am5th Annual Mistletoe Mile walk/run, one mile course, sponsored by Fitness A Go Go; start at north side of courthouse. Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes. Holiday costumes encouraged. Participation prizes and refreshments

Christmas Market appeals to Carlinville cooks for holiday recipes

The Carlinville Christmas Market Foundation announced that it intends to publish a brand new cookbook this year entitled "Holiday Traditions" and is now actively seeking peoples' favorite Thanksgiving and Christmas recipes. The "Holiday Traditions" recipe book will include appetizers, main dishes, side dishes, rolls and breads, desserts, party specialties, punches and drinks, and anything else that people associate with their Christmastime traditions.
